1992 4x2 4.0 auto Lwb 116xxx

Started floors went with key part xj pans an the thing barely fits in my garage at the house but I’m happy it fits an the last pic is the retaining wall that started this tear down hauled all the block in 2 truck an trailer loads old girl wasn’t happy at all

Funny story we where having tail gate thief’s around my area 2 winters ago someone stole the gate off it parked at my house couple months after we moved in come to find it on Craigslist a couple weeks later listed with a bunch of other gates let’s just say I didn’t pay to get it back I had the person on camera an the truck they where driving only to go to the persons house to find same said truck an my tailgate an neighbors gate for his dodge as well I showed the guy the footage an left with our gates back

That's awesome that you got it back. I put a hose clamp around the side of the hinge that lifts out. It's not theft proof but a thief probably isn't carrying tools and might pass on it just because it isn't a quick grab and go anymore.

Made some progress finally moves under own power again new trans shifts smooth an feels great did all seals while I was under there still haven’t had time to get to a yard to look for a Dana 30 for the front floors are done an just need to get the interior back together on vacation for the next week hope to get things buttoned up

some spray foam and bondo and you're good to go. :D 

 

...and now I've made myself sad because I know there are guys that would do that. :(

My old man took plastic bags, hit them with a blow-torch, bondoed over it and would reglue the windshield in his 1990 Cherokee for years... Most rusted out cherokee I have ever seen.
