1986 won’t start

I have an 86 Comanche X that has no power except for headlights, horn, and starter, but will not start.  Just got truck that was not running when I got it. Any ideas ?.??

Does it crank?

V6 or 4 cylinder

Do you have a spark at the spark plugs?

 

Is there fuel flowing through the carburetor when you crank it?

 

You need three things for it to run: fuel, air, and spark. So the first step in troubleshooting is to see which one is missing.

Does it start with starting fluid? -> fuel

If you pull a plug and crank is there a visible spark? -> spark

Visually inspect your intake and/or test for manifold vacuum-> air
