SatiricalHen
I recently installed a 242 and on right turns it’s seems lurchy in full-time 4wd almost like part time 4wd, but I jacked one tire up and it spun freely so it’s definitely in full-time. I assume the u joints just are making it do that, but I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. I’m assuming I could slap some CV shafts from a ZJ in there and it’ll be smooth, but I also have no experience with those and how well they would hold up to abusive driving. derf
I get a little binding in tight turns with my 242 and automatic in my 01 XJ. The differential in the case has some torque bias so it's not completely open.
OldSch88L
I have a 242 with an AX5 and it does the same thing; will switch to CV axles eventually.
