ghetdjc320
Anyone find one they like or have been using with success? There are so many companies in this space all making something but your input would be greatly appreciated. Looking for something to serve as a paint protectant particularity from UV. Wax just doesn’t last more than a few weeks in this weather
mjben
For a DIY/driveway type, I've been pretty happy with Mothers CMX. Can usually be had at the auto parts stores. Not as thick, and doesn't last as long as the "real" stuff, but it's WAY cheaper and easier to apply. The bottle says you can "layer" it for more/longer lasting protection. I just slap a new coat on every 3 months or so, and the water still beads off nicely, even before the new coat. Has been a godsend for cleaning the brake dust off the Brembos on the TH... I think I may need to go with the pro stuff. Just wondering if anyone has had good pro diy ones
Smokeyyank
Ammo nyc. Not cheap but his products work amazingly well. I used a few things on one of my BMW's and the wife's lexus. https://www.ammonyc.com/product/ammo-reflex-pro-pre-sale/

ghetdjc320
Thanks for the link. Looks like most on here are using some hybrid wax/ceramic coating. Has anyone used an actual ceramic coating? I may go with a hybrid option as noted above but the elements here eat up most finishes really quick. Really looking for something more durable
PhilisDiller
I don't know much about ceramic coating, but a car-nut friend of mine raves about his ceramic pro coating ALL the time. 1.5 years after application and he just sprays down his car to wash it. looks beautiful in pictures, but I haven't seen it in person. I do trust his opinion as he has very high standards. https://ceramicpro.com/products/

Only trick is it’s a shop install and I don’t trust any of the shops here to do a good job lol. Basically I’m looking for that product but in a diy format
