That price is definitely steep, can't lie about that. It is clear that it had a very low quality paint job. I say that because of the now body color tailgate handle and the fact that they didn't paint the door jambs. I would guess that the paint is covering up something that is not pretty. The pictures leave quite a bit to be desired too. If you are asking that much money for a 33 year old truck, you better take really good pictures of it. I think even half of their asking price would be a little bit on the high side.

Imho its worth a third of the asking price at most...

Agreed. I think $2,200 would be a good ask for the truck and it might be a decent buy at $1,500-$1,800.
