Submariner
With the new year came a new to me MJ, $600. 89 Pioneer, 4.0 5sp 2wd, cruise control till wheel. Actual gages in the dash work. Engine runs fairly well seeing how it has sat for 6 years in a briar patch and has not be registered for 12 years. That is the good News. Now for the bad, clutch master cylinder froze up, rust in drivers floor board because the drivers window is broke, all the brakes are shot, tires are Bad. the door latch on the body is ripped off. Turnsignal lever is trashed, No parking lights but the headlights work. She is mostly straight but the paint sucks. How do you fix the rusty floorboads? the frame is intack. I will post pictures. So what do you think? suggestions on repairs to the floor would be helpfull
Pete M
cut out all the rot, weld in new steel, coat with por-15 or chassis saver.
BeatCJ
Do you weld? Looking at your name and profile, I would assume so. Replacement floor pans are pretty readily available. Fixing that Nader pin is bound to be tougher, but a similar process. You will have to find a section from a parts truck, I would guess. Good luck, have patience, you can get her done.
