rsmecham
Hey all, I have searched around on these forums for quite a bit looking for a solution to a couple problems associated with my 2.8l. Engine was completely rebuilt, shaved cams, new bearings new rods, spark plugs, everything. Yet my engine continues to miss at idle speed. It gets worse when it is shifted into reverse, but it never kills the engine. Increasing the idle speed makes the engine sound better, but it still misses. It is inconsistent as well which is part of the confusing part. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

coheed
I know it sounds dumb but recheck your firing order. I know for a fact one of the manuals I have has the firing order of the 2.8 listed wrong cause I had the same issue.
