Well than there she is, it's always nice to find some back history on a vehicle. I actually did a little investigating and found this myself also it appears to be the same person maybe?? https://comancheclub.com/topic/23372-1jthl6515gt080028/?tab=comments#comment-244281
Dom U Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 Edit to above post just noticed you all found that well before me and posted it on my registry post 😆 It didn't notify me for comments on that post so I didn't even see them till right now.
Dom U Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 Well the mayhem shall continue. Was able to get half the floor board exposed this morning before work. Not to terrible I suppose... There is a inch wide by 4 in long piece rusted through. Guess I'll be welding in new floor pans at least to stop anymore rust and repair what's damaged. Carpet was glued down along with some super thin aluminum stuff. There was a plate of sheet metal riveted over the rust spot...
Dom U Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Got the passenger side torn apart also got the front clip removed. Wanna get the interior and engine bay cleaned up first. Hopefully get the engine, tranny and tcase all pulled out on Sunday.
eaglescout526 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 ITS A V-BELT?! Dang I know the struggle. Serpentine could always be an upgrade in the future.

eaglescout526 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 All cake. The harmonic balancer will need to be swapped, alt upgrade can be had and a 4.0L with the serp fan/water pumper pulley and the power steering bracket can be mounted on the 2.5L set up.

I appreciate that info sir. I assumed it wouldn't be to difficult, jeeps are basically legos 😆
Dom U Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Out of curiosity when did they stop doing v-belts you seem surprised to see it haha
eaglescout526 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Lol thats what Pete always says. They practically are a rolling Lego brick. But yeah its easy to do.
eaglescout526 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 86 was when the V-belts stopped. Its just a little uncommon to see an 86 2.5L with the V-belt.
