Lower Dash Panel Tweeter Install

What is the best way to secure small Tweeters at

each end of the Lower Dash Panel.

The connection points back there are only

small rectangles with no threads.

I don't want to use the wrong retainers and then

have the speakers falling out.

Thanks,

I have a pair of OEM Tweeters with each of the splitter harnesses that

also run to each door speaker and with the correct end connectors.

I am looking for a good retainer that will hold the speakers in place

and not let go.

I am trying to avoid using the wrong size/type screw and ruin those

small rectangles.

Thanks,

In custom setups we use “universal backstrap”. You can but it at crutchfield and sometimes the local hardware store has a similar material that works

Most big box stores will have that backstrapping in a roll in the plumbing section.  Usually called something like "hanger strapping" or similar.

Thanks for the Backstrap idea. That would work with

bare tweeters.

I have the OEM Cherokee tweeters with the strap mounting

being a part of the speakers.

Found a photo that shows the Cherokee tweeters mounded

to the lower dash panel.

Those mounting screws are the ones that I am looking for.

Thanks again,
