more important is what's you budget and what size tires?

I think my budget would probably be about 800 bucks. And I'm not sure what size tires would work/look the best with each size lift.

If I had a future prize willing truck I'd leave it alone, but can't hurt to go with a classic 3" lift and 31s.  :L:

I think that's probably what i will do. I think that my comanche is to nice for Rhode island standards to beat on to much so id only like to do some mild wheeling with it anyways. Also how did u get the little comanche in your signature?

Muncher,

May I ask if it was the white 1990 MJ for sale in RI? Looked pretty nice and rust free in the pictures if it was. Rust is tough here in RI and the NE.  Stock or previously mentioned 3" lift look great to me.

I actually never saw a white one aroujd here. I live in Rhode island and i bought a red comanche chief In conneticut

I'd also say how tall are you? I'm roughly 6 ft. I have an XJ at 4.5 and had 31"s and now 32.5"s on it. I have to scouch up to sit in it. I am working on one with 2" lift and probably 30.5". Also, another with 3.5" lift and the 32.5"s. Since you have a manual, 31'S should work if you get some 3.55 geared axles, stock XJs. You would need to have the rear perches from an MJ welded on.

Edit: I'll add, I think 31"s look a bit small on a 4.5 lift. 32"-33" about right. Also, the larger the tires, the more $$. Might price tires first.
