Hello everyone, first time posting here.

I have a 1986 JEEP COMANCHE 2.5L 150cid L4 and I am replacing the exhaust front pipe. I have found in several places the Walker 44320 pipe but it is marked for 87 to 90 jeep comanches:

Does anyone know if it would work with an 86 4 cylinder as well?

Thanks

I think so, I have ordered the part, if it is a total miss i will return it, if is minor adjustments I will try to install it. Will report back once I get the part.

Thanks

I can't think of a single reason why a down pipe for an '87 wouldn't work in an '86, but the connection to the catalytic converter may be different.

I'm redoing that part too and everything else downstream so I should be able to put those together. I was concerned about the bends at the front. Thanks!

Let me know how this works out. I also need that same part replaced on mine. I did the header but that old down pipe is rusted to hell.

Paint your exhaust with this

It prevents it from rusting

i painted my entire exhaust and it’s still rust free even today

I received the new pipe and so far it looks exactly like the one i removed from the car.

I have a question with regards to the hole near the top, what is that hole for? and what can I use to plug it? The old one seems to have the hole plugged.

I think I found it, I think the hole is for the oxygen sensor port, and I can find an oxygen port plug online or local auto store.
