Taillight Harness (Repair)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.  Hopefully i haven't overlooked searching this topic.  I'm going through the front and rear lighting harnesses and have made my way to the rear.  I'm curious if anyone has any detailed wiring diagrams or pictures of what wires go where?  I have removed the harness and in the process of cleaning it for better troubleshooting.  I have a couple wires coming off of several of the bulb sockets that i need to confirm and or rewire properly.

As of right now i have parking lights up top and blinkers in the middle of each taillight.  I'm thinking i should have parking lights and signal/brake coming from both upper bulbs on each light.

Any help is appreciated!!

Upper right hand of screen. Click on Username. Click on Account Settings. Find and click on Signature. Add vehicle information here (YR, ENG, TRANS, etc, etc) and save. This helps everyone. This information will be available every time you post.

I'm not sure of the wiring colors, but I can confirm that all 4 bulbs are dual filament and contain both parking and brakes/turnsignals. :L:  Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe new sockets are still available so you don't have to reuse yours if they are nasty looking.

Thanks guys, i actually pulled the harness off and went through the wiring one at a time and figured it out.  All soldered connections now and everything works like it should except for Stop and Reverse...........but pretty sure new switches for each of those are in order.
