jeeptec1 Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Hey club I picked up an 88 4x4 Laredo 4.0 Long bed with automatic. I’m looking to throw a quick lift on it out of a bunch parts and pieces. I’m looking to get 2.5 to 3.0 lift and put either 30 or 31’s. I found in my parts I have a set of Supelift 4.0 inch coils for a TJ. I know that they will physically fit. I know a TJ is lighter. Has anyone used a TJ spring and what was your results? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

MJXJjeepguy Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Yes they will fit! I was help friend of mine and we put ZJ v8 coil into TJ and got 2 inch lift.
MJXJjeepguy Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I just read again ur question how much will it lift? No idea why don't u try it out and tell us
jeeptec1 Posted May 8, 2019 Author Posted May 8, 2019 I just talked to one of the guys I work with who has an 89 Comanche. He put 3 inch a TJ springs on his and got 2 inches of lift. But I will update the post with my results.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
benjy_26 Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 TJ springs will generally give 1" less than advertised when used in a XJ. I assume that applies to MJ's as well.
mjeff87 Posted May 16, 2019 Posted May 16, 2019 ^^^^I'd say that's about right. I used 5.5" TJ coils on mine and netted about 4.5-ish inches of lift. I was trying to match the rear height with SOA and they got me close (enough).
