97+ doors w/pre-97 panels?

I know I've seen this discussed on here before, but too tired (lazy!) to do a search tonight. So do interior door panels from pre-97 XJ/MJ's attach to 97+ doors without major issues? One day I'd like to have the full window instead of the quarter window for less possible leaks and noise.

I believe that someone (GJeep?) was installing full glass into older doors using the Chinese 2500's regulators.

Like Pete said, the window can be swapped with Chinese window parts but it sounds like getting them over here is a pain.  

 

As for the door panels, they won't without major modifications.

Yeah, I remember the thread about the Chinese parts but that it was difficult to get them. 

 

Not the answer I was hoping for on swapping older panels on. Oh well........no worries.

and if you're putting in an order, there are other 2500 parts that are desirable.

I would buy some manual cranks for 1 piece windows if they weren't an astronomical price. I like the windows on my cherokee much better, and the seals and stuff are alot easier to find in good condition.
