Manche757
Has anyone purchased rims from WAC? I am interested in the 1512s. https://www.wheelsandcaps.com/c-2283-oem-aluminum-alloy-wheels_jeep-comanche.aspx
kryptronic
Those 1512s should be easy enough to find on your local Craigslist in good condition. That style wheel is typically found on MJs, XJs and YJs throughout the 80s and 90s. WAC and others in this marketplace are on eBay selling the same wheels there, usually cheaper, as well. Do a search for the model number 'ALY01512U10U1' on eBay to see what deals are there. Typically you'll get the same pricing, buyer protection and will get out of paying for shipping if buying via eBay. Even for a few dollars more, the buyer protection is worth it, in my opinion. I was surprised that they are not more than they are. I am likely to favor the new replacement rims than the used reconditioned ones. What's your opinion? I do like JEEP stamped in the rims and don't think the new replacement ones have that. In either case, they look ready to go without cleanup, clear coating, and thus and such. Dando
I have the wheels you are looking for on my mj, also because I liked having Jeep stamped into them. I feel like the ones that don’t have the Jeep name on them looks like they came off an s10

I had a set on my YJ, wish I would have kept around for somebody like you that wanted them (pic below is the day I picked up the YJ - bone stock). I'd go with factory refurbished all day long versus new. I don't know what the build quality is like with the new ones. The refurbished ones all look to be blasted, polished and cleared correctly. I've got a set of Turbines I'm going to do myself for my 91, and depending on how much of a pain that is, I do that again for the wheels on my 92, or I might go the same route as you. Please post back if you do get them, I'd like to see some feedback.
gogmorgo
Make sure you get the centre cap with the wheels you get. They look a whole ton better with them, and I don't know that you can get them any other way.
