Door sill

There is a piece of metal - horizontal - below doors that I think is called a door sill. Does anyone know if new ones are available?

The door sill is part of the rocker panel stamping, if I recall.  (At least at the factory that is the case.)

 

Do aftermarket replacement rocker panels for an XJ include that part of the stamping?

I am asking about the thin aluminum? plate that covers the edge if the carpet and goes under the door. Not part of the frame

You mean the plastic scuff plates under the doors like THIS?

4DR XJs used the same front plates as the MJs. They didn't come in metal from the factory.

Duh. Yes. They are plastic on the 89.  I am not near the 87. Are those plastic also? Hopefully can buy new ones?

Yup. Or any 4dr XJ has two of them.
