Suspension Kit

Hey guys, so after completing multiple projects on the mj.. think I'm gonna start looking towards the suspension now.. Anyone have any good recommendations on a "suspension kit". I'm just looking for a good ride, not looking to lift it, just want to not bottom out every speed bump I hit lol..

Everything I've seen and heard points to Old Man Emu being the best of the best when it comes to ride quality.  It's an Australian company and they designed their kits to give the best ride for people driving across the outback.  Of course that comes with the side affect that they are one of, if not the most expensive kits out there.

That's what@shelbyluvv has said. Quality. But they don't seem excessively expensive

If the goal is a better ride without a lift, you're really talking about shocks. Unless the original springs are sagged, there's not much point in replacing the springs. If you can get the rear springs off without destroying things (depends on if you live in the rust belt), new bushings in the rear springs will soften the ride without affecting the spring rate. The single most important thing for ride quality is shocks.

This is true. Unfortunately MJs were never exported to Australia so they don't sell Comanche specific suspension parts. However XJ front coils are the same, and for their shocks you have to look for the correct length and shock ends you need for an MJ. Everything I could possibly use for my rig is from OME. I sure wish they made rear leaf springs for us; I could never find an MJ leaf spring I could cross over and use...

Very true, should have specified the lack of an actual MJ "kit".   Rocky Road has put together an MJ kit with OME shocks but it's a 6" lift kit. 

Do you happen to have the pn for what OME parts you used?  You're still at stock height right?

Yea, my shocks are completely shot, that was gonna be the first thing I replace.. I'm just wondering what causes when you turn a corner, it feels like its pulling you with the turn too, idk how to explain it.. Any shocks you recommend?

I'm at about 2" - 2-1/2". Front coils are OME 930, front shocks are OME N35 (if you can find them), or OME 60046, rear shocks are OME 60032 or OME N30 (also hard to find).
