Accelerator pedal clearance issue

When driving the truck while wearing large hunting boots there is barely room for the boot to fit between the brake pedal and the trans tunnel. Does anyone else experience this? I wonder if it's the original design or the previous owner used a different pedal assembly for a rebuild.

Yes, it sucks. 

 

I had an XJ donor with a pedal assembly, it never occurred to me at the time to save it. 

 

I'm casually looking for one now. XJs move the clutch and brake to the left, but they don't have the parking brake pedal.........I'll live with it tight on the parking brake side.

I have the problem too when I wear boots in the truck. my foot can get stuck between the brake petal and the center trans hump. So if I drive a lot, I slip some teenie shoes on

Did the same thing... scrapped a perfectly good setup from a manual '95 and kick myself for it.

 

I've got fat feet too so yeah, clearances are a bit tight but manageable.
