Mnh88xj Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 I'm swapping in a 94 XJ 4.0 into an 89 comanche... I'm using the XJ fuel lines that go into the fuel rail, which don't hook up to the existing comanche ones. i thought i would try to buy the rear steel lines (that run along the rails and do the bend around the cross member) for a 92, assuming they would work since its the newer style. i just can't find any place that sells them. does anyone know of a place that sells these? or any custom ideas to get around this issue? thanks mike
Pete M Posted January 16, 2018 Posted January 16, 2018 did you find anything in the DIY threads? (link in my sig)
Mnh88xj Posted January 17, 2018 Author Posted January 17, 2018 i did a search in the diy threads, the only thing i found was a post about AN fittings...maybe i missed the thread??
Pete M Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 I was thinking there might be some info in the 97+ conversion threads that would be useful.
kook911 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 When I did this I ran the HO lines to the fuel filter. At least for min they were just plug and play. I’ll try to grab a pic tomorrow. If I remember correctly you have to cut the Ho lines down to fit.
Strokermjcomanche Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 When I did mine(95 XJ into 89 MJ ) I just used rubber hose to connect the two steel lines together , this was before dorman came out with these ... https://autoplicity.com/187759-dorman-oe-solutions-nylon-to-steel-fuel-line-compression-union?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2vX_jLbl2AIVRlgNCh3BWAHUEAQYASABEgJUzPD_BwE , they also have steel to steel connectors you can also take the 91+ lines off at a junkyard or buy the correct dorman lines ....
MuddFoot Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 On mine I also just used the 95 Cherokee donor lines to the filter and then used everything else off the mj. But I'm using a Dakota tank and modified the rest to work with it. Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
