jbain
Anybody running JCR Sliders? Mine showed up today and they don't seem to fit at all. Couldn't find any MJ specific instructions anywhere so I was hoping someone had some pics.
krustyballer16
Do you have pictures? I don't know how jcr's fit I only know how mine fit, but maybe I can help figure it out Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
jbain
Thanks krustyballer 16 but no pics right now. When my build gets to that stage I'll get some. Can't really get serious about them until after paint.

Can't really get serious about them until after paint. If it's just the pinch seam attachment points, you could probably just cut them and move them. natander2ksometime
Man, I get mine on Tuesday. Let me know if you figure out how to go about this.

Right on, I'll be curious of what you think. Even if I cut off the pinch seam my rail gets further away from the body as it goes forward.

krustyballer16
There should only be one way they go on the front and rear legs are 3" different so you almost can't put them on the wrong side. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
jbain
The tubing welded to the box tubing goes up and there is a big difference in the length of each leg front and back so there is no possible way to put them on backwards.

If it's anything but perfect, I'll send them back. I paid them way too much money to be refabricating crap that should be simple to produce. natander2ksometime
Ok I kinda see what you were saying, but I think mine will work just fine. This was a very rough fitment, but it seems alright. The pinch seam mount is kinda flexible left to right (in the third picture), so I could flex it to touch the pinch seam. jbain
Do yours run wide at the front? I kinda want mine to read the same front to rear.

These follow the body line pretty nicely. The front leg is slightly shorter than the back to account for the narrowing. Of course I just threw these up there, I'll have better pictures in a few weeks.
krustyballer16
I think the pinch seam strip is supposed to go on the outside of the pinch seam... looks like it's inside in the 3rd pic.Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk I looked at their XJ slider instructions, and they listed instructions for putting sliders on a KJ, WJ, ZJ... It said on some applications the pinch seam strip is supposed to go on the inside. I thought it was a little strange too.
krustyballer16
Those humps make it impossible for a snug fit against it. It should go on the outside. That's why I like my sliders, can be adjusted on the pinch seam Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

krustyballer16
Hey Krustyballer16, does the round tube on yours angle up like these do? Not yet. That's the next step in a couple months. Got an xj set to prototype in spring. Are these 2x3?Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

DigitalBman
I can vouch for Krustys sliders! Iv taken mine MOAB and kansas rocks as well as a Gambler 500 now and they have performed great!! I really beat them at MOAB and they support hard slams now problem! I like the looks of the angles alot... But the functionality of the striaght is nice. It's an easy step and I believe that if I had the angled ones the mirrors would have hit some rock faces at MOAB... I had some very close calls and the sliders saved me everytime. AeroNautical
I'm having the same issue with the front of the JCR sliders being pushed out pretty far compared to the rear. Was there a solution found or is this how they are supposed to be? Odd design choice if so..
