JCR Sliders

Recommended Posts

Thanks krustyballer 16 but no pics right now.  When my build gets to that stage I'll get some.  Can't really get serious about them until after paint.
If it's just the pinch seam attachment points, you could probably just cut them and move them. What did jcr say?

Man, I get mine on Tuesday.  Let me know if you figure out how to go about this.

Right on, I'll be curious of what you think.  Even if I cut off the pinch seam my rail gets further away from the body as it goes forward.

Getting them tomorrow.  I won't be able to put them on, but I'll see how they fit.  If it's anything but perfect, I'll send them back.  I paid them way too much money to be refabricating crap that should be simple to produce.

Do yours run wide at the front? I kinda want mine to read the same front to rear.

These follow the body line pretty nicely.  The front leg is slightly shorter than the back to account for the narrowing.  Of course I just threw these up there, I'll have better pictures in a few weeks.

I think the pinch seam strip is supposed to go on the outside of the pinch seam... looks like it's inside in the 3rd pic.

I looked at their XJ slider instructions, and they listed instructions for putting sliders on a KJ, WJ, ZJ... It said on some applications the pinch seam strip is supposed to go on the inside.  I thought it was a little strange too.

Not yet. That's the next step in a couple months. Got an xj set to prototype in spring. Are these 2x3?

Will your next incarnation also follow the body more closely? Your pictures show they protrude at the front of the cab more than the bed.

Guess it wasn't on this thread that I said it,... since the first set, Bo's, they've been adjusted to follow the body.

I can vouch for Krustys sliders! Iv taken mine MOAB and kansas rocks as well as a Gambler 500 now and they have performed great!! I really beat them at MOAB and they support hard slams now problem!

I like the looks of the angles alot... But the functionality of the striaght is nice. It's an easy step and I believe that if I had the angled ones the mirrors would have hit some rock faces at MOAB... I had some very close calls and the sliders saved me everytime.
