Recommendations for instrument gauge bulb replacements?

I already bought a set or red leds off amazon, but I know from testing the white version of the same brand that they do not dim worth a ----. I might just shell out for these Sylvanias so that I can have red and dimming.

Just tried the Sylvania 194R's in my instrument cluster. I like them!

 

In order to make the high beam indicator less bright, I use a red led. I figured a red light behind a blue filter would be pretty dim, and it is. Gives a nice purple color.

I'll try to get some tomorrow night. Turned out it was actually the amazon LEDs that were dimming and not the sylvania. But the Sylvania are a better looking and fitting LED so I went with them.  With the red lights I don't feel I need dimming, now that I see them.
