fiatslug87
Thanks Don. I didn't expect it to be that high and i didn't think the bolts were that big. I'm at work and will check tonight.
HOrnbrod
I didn't either. I junked the crappy strap setup a long time ago and installed a U-Bolt Yoke Conversion Kit when I had to change the D44 pinion seal the last time out. $$ well spent.
Minuit
1990 FSM has 14 ft-lb for the strap to yoke bolts.
HOrnbrod
That sounds more realistic. I just checked my 91 FSM - 14 ft.-lbs. too. Ignore my first reply - bum info.
Strokermjcomanche
I may be reading this wrong , but I think the strap bolts are 19n•m (14ft lbs ) set to torque 16-22n•m (12-16ftlbs) service recheck torque
fiatslug87
Thanks guys, that sounds more reasonable. I think the bolts are only 1/4 inch.
