Ah, I was having a senior moment.  I worked in a motor pool installing deep water fording intake tubes on HMMWVs once, and used a hydraulic pliers type tool to "seat" the nutserts.  I wanted to take it home... but didn't.

Yep, waaay back I worked in a Navy Radio Shop and we installed the comms gear in the HMMWVs for the Jarheads. I've been using nutserts ever since, like mounting my fire extinguisher in the bed.

Don't want to derail this thread, but that is sweet.  Custom bracket?

I made it to get if off the bed side a bit - the extinguisher was too tall for a flush mount.

Plumbed up the new cooler in series with the factory cooler and bypassed the radiator cooler. Been driving around a couple of days and the tranny never goes above 165* now. Before the norm was ~190* - 210*. Engine temps are unchanged at 200* - 210*. We'll see how it is when it gets real cold here, like below freezing. But that might not be until next fall.

You wouldn't have that issue if you lived up here. Didn't break freezing all day today. Or yesterday. Or the day before, or the one before that... you get the point, lol.
