Dana 44 in Toledo salvage yard

Cherry Picked Auto Parts in Toledo, OH, has a 1988 MJ in their lot that has a factory rear Dana 44.  Truck is a short bed 5-speed, so perhaps swapped in.

The rear axle is very rusty.

If it was swapped in, that makes at least two.  I picked up the same from a JY in Denver.  Still sitting in my garage as I contemplate what to do next :???:
