895XJ
Anyone run the Luk throwout bearing? It's a plastic construction and I'm rather hesitant to use it. Has anyone used it with long term success? Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk

87MJTIM
Find an external bell housing and never have to worry about it again. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk From the photo, it is an external slave. Many parts are being made with a type of hard, plastics now. I am not an engineer, but I have read that this material is very durable.
DirtyComanche
I have high regard for Luk clutch components and would not worry about it. And as said, those UHMW plastics are very durable and make an excellent self lubricating bearing.
87Warrior
I didn't want to use the plastic bearing assembly so I used a Mopar release bearing which has a metal case. I am curious to hear long term reports on the LuK release bearing, especially since I have an extra that came with my clutch kit.
895XJ
Well, I'm gonna run it. I'll report back in 5 years when it has 75k more on it Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk

Internal slave or not, plastic or metal slave, the tranny still needs to be pulled to replace TOB.
895XJ
Once the tranny is out, the bearing is a 10 minute job on external slave, internal slave may be over an hour with bleeding and everything Sent from my XT1635-02 using Tapatalk
