Need input on 1988 Mj 2wd with the 4.0 and manual transmission.  The body is pretty straight from what I can tell.  But the interior on the drivers side is pretty rotted out.  The owner told me to take it off his hands for $700.  I am in the middle of a 4wd conversion on my current MJ so I am aware of what is needed to get it converted but I have never welded before.  This MJ would be a way to learn to weld on and a just something else to learn on.  Need suggestion on if I should pass or not.  Its fairly close to home so that is not a problem.  Thanks

Agreed, if you have the space and the jeep runs and doesn't sound like it needs a new motor. I'm in northern VA (Woodbridge) and my buddy and I have done some floor board welding before if you're looking for tips etc.
