Prepare for disappointment - I'm just saying this because I installed about 30 sqft of Dynamat in my truck and it was almost no help. The last 2 pages of my build thread have some discussion on this and some real numbers. In short, nearly full coverage of dynamat made very little change either to my ears or a sound pressure meter - fully lining the floors and cab wall with mass loaded vinyl reduced overall cab noise by 5-8 decibels. That's without doing the doors and without fixing any wind noise.

Hmm, Okay. maybe I'll just keep that in storage for now. I think the main issue was not having wheelwell liners, and the fenders just catching the wind.

It certainly won't hurt, but don't expect it to cut down road or wind noise. Dynamat and those kinds of products work wonders on highly resonant panels that make noise when they vibrate but they won't block noise from passing through them (which is what road noise is). For example, a whole sheet of Dynamat on the roof made driving in the rain much more pleasant - no more noise from rain hitting the roof, and about 50% coverage on the doors made them sound a little better when they close too.

THESE helped quite a bit reducing road noise. I put them on in 09 and they are still hanging.

It's on my list. I have one on the driver side (96) door, but not on the passenger side.

Well, USPS showed up and dropped off a couple of packages.

The terminals for the a/c harness came in

Also, a used shifter from an AX-5 Cherokee. (On right)

They appear to be very similar, but I noticed the knob position was different while in gear.. (New shifter on right, or bottom depending on how photobucket screws up)

The lower section is shorter, and the upper section is longer. Hopefully this will stop the knob from slamming the dash.

Now, stupid question, but... Does the lower section go in like this:

Or like this? I've flipped it back and forth so many times I just can't recall.

That's the best pic I have, sorry. Love your attention to detail.

No worries, That's perfect. Now I can get that knocked off my list.

And thanks, I tend to get a bit OCD, which strangely is a good thing and bad thing at the same time..

I got my lower door seals in this weekend. I'd agree with Don, it seems a little quieter. Less wind/road noise coming from the door gap for sure.

Please, Hijack away.... It'll be a boring thread if it's just me in here.

Chrysler P/N 5513 4856. They aren't side specific.

You might have to look a while to find them. It looks like I bought the last pair on eBay, but that's the part number of the ones Don and I used.

I'm not having much luck finding a set, are they just called "Lower door seals"?

Try looking for p/n 55134854. These are the door seals for the longer 2-DR models; you can cut them to fit the 4-DR's.
