davidh190
Hi guys, So I replaced the drums, rotors, brake shoes and pads, and the wheel cylinders. The brake pedal was sinking in so I replaced the master cylinder. It kept doing that so I replaced that cylinder along with the power brake booster. Although the brake pedal feels much better, when I've been driving around for a while, I feel the brake pedal goes down a little too much. Am I going crazy or is there something else I should check? Here's a pic of my truck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
HOrnbrod
Couple of things to check: Did you re-adjust your rear brake shoes with the star wheel so they just barely drag when rotating the wheel? Did you check the booster vacuum check valve?

mikekaz1
If its a booster issue, wouldnt it get harder rather then softer? Soft/sinking is normally a fluid loss or air bubble. How much did you bleed when replacing everything?

FrankTheDog
Did you follow the proper procedure to bleed the rear brakes with the proportioning valve? It is outlined somewhere on this site.
big66440
If you have the original single diaphragm booster the pedal is naturally a bit "mushy" and does seem to go lower than the average vehicle from what I can remember, that was part of the reason I went with the 95-96 XJ dual diaphragm set up.
