Xdt Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Hello, Currently replacing clutch slave cylinder and notice two vent lines. One of the lines attach to the rear of the transmission please identify the second hose/filter and where to connect. Thank you
gogmorgo Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 There should be one vent line each for the trans and t-case?
87MJTIM Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 What size is that hose? It looks like a radiator hose. I cannot think of why a rad hose would be there. As Gogmorgo said, the only two hoses down under are the vent tubes for both the trans and tcase. These tubes are approx. OD 1/2" and ID 3/8".
Xdt Posted September 7, 2016 Author Posted September 7, 2016 Guys Thank you for the replies. As stated one of the hoses connect to the transmission. The hose in the link has a filter attached. Does this filter just vent to air? The hose isn't long enough to reach transfer case. The hose is 3/8 Thanks again
Xdt Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 Guys, the filter in question goes inside of an opening on the top of the transmission. Once I removed the center console the opening is to the right of the gear shifter. Thanks again for the help.
87MJTIM Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Sounds like a PO "modification" Might be a "catheter" for the driver
