7ft to 6tf bed swap

1988 Comanche with a rusted bed. Seems to be cheaper to buy and replace the bed over having the rust repaired. Currently have the long 7ft bed is my truck able to take a 6ft bed with little to no if any modfication?

Short answer , you're better off getting the correct length bed . The bed and uniframe would need quite a bit of modification as the distance to the wheel openings are different lengths .

yup.  the long bed is 6" longer behind the rear tire and 6" longer in front of the rear tire.

The rear frames are totally different, as is the wheelbase.
