mjeff87
Spent early Saturday morning trying to get an old dead tree stump out of the ground in front of my house. After screwing around for three hours with shovels, chainsaw, hatchet, crowbar, and bow saw, I got a bright idea and put the MJ into service ;) . Hooked the strap onto the rootball and let all the dead weight of the MJ pull on it (my yard slopes downward there)…..and it didn’t budge. Took about 20 good yanks, but it finally pulled free. Even though I have to make stronger frame tie-in plates for it, I’m a little more comfortable with the bumper’s ability now. Rob S
Its amazing how well some of those root systems are inbedded into the ground. Bumper looks good.
JeeperjohnfromPA
Just one of the many uses for a Jeep vehicle! :brows: I use my old YJ to do that type of stuff all the time. I've even dragged a few Bolders arround. Thinking about it used to do that stuff with the old Scrambler too!
pingpong
Thats cool... should have used the rear bumper then.. that way you could have shown how tough it was as well :D
500 MJ
My Dad used the winch on his TJ to raise and lower our TV antenna. Park the Jeep on one side of the house, run the cable over the roof and put boards down to protect the shingles at the peak and up and down she goes with the flip of a switch. :brows:
