broken clutch pedal

All right have any of you folks split the clutch pedal at the pivot point. What was correction taken to prevent future occurrences? :dunno: quick fix is to get another one and mig weld the crack/split :brows: any thoughts would be appreciated. 89MJ with 94 AX-15 setup

It's rare, but not unheard of. If I remember right, the solution is simply to replace the broken part. Unless something else is wrong, it shouldn't happen again. :D

Had one break on my 4x4. Went to the pull a part and got one off a junk XJ. The old one had been welded once.

weld it that is what i did and it is still together. If you price a new one hold on to you seat it is like 150 if I recall :nuts: or junk yard a new to you one.

thanks for the update i got lucky :cheers: and found one in the JY for ten bucks and i'm going to try to weld it for practice and see what i can do since this is new for me :jump:
