pug Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Any idea how to get rusted bolt out of leaf spring bushing.
sinkrun Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 I have heard that they use a hole saw to cut the rubber part out and then install new bushings.
pug Posted January 31, 2016 Author Posted January 31, 2016 I got the bolt out today. Had to cut flush with spring bushing. Now the remainder of bolt is stuck in the metal sleeve. What else can I use to replace sleeve?
Eagle Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 More than likely you'll have to destroy the bushing and take it out in pieces, then clean up the spring eye and press in a new bushing. You might get lucky and be able to drill out the bolt.

How far up do I need to cut 2wd main leafSounds like you are doing exactly what I did. I cut the 2wd leaf right behind the eyes and mimicked the factory cut. Also added a friction pad. Here is an in progress pic that shows my cut on the 2wd main leaf installed in my 4wd pack.
