sinkrun
I have heard that they use a hole saw to cut the rubber part out and then install new bushings.

pug
I got the bolt out today. Had to cut flush with spring bushing. Now the remainder of bolt is stuck in the metal sleeve. What else can I use to replace sleeve?
Eagle
More than likely you'll have to destroy the bushing and take it out in pieces, then clean up the spring eye and press in a new bushing. You might get lucky and be able to drill out the bolt.

How far up do I need to cut 2wd main leafSounds like you are doing exactly what I did. I cut the 2wd leaf right behind the eyes and mimicked the factory cut. Also added a friction pad. Here is an in progress pic that shows my cut on the 2wd main leaf installed in my 4wd pack.
