Jackrabbit41
So ever since I've had this jeep, the passenger side window rolls up and down fine, but is just really hard to do it. I've pull the door all apart and couldn't find anything wrong. If you rest your arm on the window when it's all the way down , it won't come back up, unless you wanna pull apart the door. The PO told me that the passenger side window was out of a cherokee because the truck was broken into. Just curious if its an obvious fix.
schardein
My driver door window gets hard to roll down about halfway down. The rubber seal on the door panel starts to get "pulled down" at that point. Roll it back up a tiny and bit and start back down and you can get a little further before it starts doing it again. Annoying, I guess I need to see if I can tweak the seal or door panel so it doesn't ride against the glass as hard. As for the "roll it all the way down, and it won't go back up", mine did that to. I took everything apart and it turned out that the regulator was just shot. There is a "beaded" cable in there (don't know how else to describe it) and the "bead" or "track" at the very end was rusted and worn smooth. Nothing for the gear to work against. Replaced the regulator with one from a XJ and everything is good.
Minuit
Since the door has been apart, my bet is that the triangle vent window (which is also half of the window frame) is ever so slightly out of alignment and jamming the main glass against the door. Those triangle vents can be a PITA to get lined up right. You might want to try loosening the triangle window's screws and bolt and see if you can adjust it. I had to go through this when I swapped over to opening vents.
