Do you mean the spacers that go between the frame rails and the hitch for the bolts? I have one on my truck and a spare Drawtite hitch also, so may be able to help. Just let me know the question. It is supposed to have plates that bolt thru the 2 lower holes, 90 degree bend at the top... Possibly to bolt to the bottom of the frame. HOrnbrod Posted December 23, 2015 Share Posted December 23, 2015 Jim, the Drawtite hitch you bought (p/n 75014) was designed for the 86 MJ longbeds. When the 87's came out with the shortbed MJs, the design was changed and the Drawtite hitch p/n changed to 75021. The 75021 fits both long and short bed models. I have the 75021 on my 91 longbed, and used the spacers that came with it. Looking at pics between the two models, you can see that the side plates are cut very differently. I'm guessing there are some differences between the 86 LWB and later model LWB rear frames, or Drawtite simply changed the design to accommodate both models. :dunno: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

krustyballer16 Posted December 24, 2015 Share Posted December 24, 2015 the spacers are just to space it out from the bumper bracket because it has a hump in it this picture barely shows it. hump in the bumper bracket. spacers hitches that i build... this is something that i havent come across while selling my hitches... are the bolt holes different on the 86s? i use 3 frame bolts and the shackle bolt....
