Dom U
Also what perches do you guys recommend for staying SUA as I'll be swapping in my Chrysler 8.
shelbyluvv
Great list. I like Ruff Stuff's easy swap kits. But Mopar perches are priced really reasonable.

87Warrior
If you opt for the RuffStuff swap kit, you will need longer shock brackets if staying SUA. I used RuffStuff for my SUA 8.8 swap. Any particular reason you are choosing the Omix Ada steering parts vs V8 ZJ Moog parts? I didn't have good luck with the RE1600 trackbar under my TJ. The heim joint would be shot within 4 months of use. I am using that trackbar under my MJ now, but with a TRE instead of the heim joint. It's been good for a year and counting.... You don't need a trackbar bracket with the 1600 trackbar. Perhaps you were thinking of using the 1660 trackbar with the bracket? I had very poor experiences with Rubicon Express control arms under my TJ. I'd avoid them like the plague.

Honestly no particular reason on the omix vs moog other than price (last I checked) this truck won't see any HARD wheeling that'll be for the xj so I figure theyll work fine. I haven't heard anything bad about the RE products so far, I ran the RE 1660 track bar in a previous XJ and has no problems with it, that's probably why I put the bracket there just wasn't thinking. What uca, track bar would you recommend?
87Warrior
I've never felt the Omix stuff was real high quality and am not sure I'd trust them for vehicle control. Moog offers lifetime warranty on their joints, if you hang onto the receipt. What uca, track bar would you recommend?Anything with a real Johnny Joint. Lee21490
http://www.ironrockoffroad.com/10215.html Save $40~ getting this instead of the bracket & Bar seperately. Using the CA drop bracket WITH 4" lower CA links might be detrimental. The CA drop kit brings the mount forward a few inches. The Stock WJ Control arms are pretty much the perfect length with the drop brackets & Are stronger than the MJ CA's. At 4.5" With the Trac-bar drop bracket, You don't need the pitman drop arm. The Stock V8 WJ tie-rod/Steering linkage is most likely stronger than the omix stuff
Zebvance
I would recommend going with adjustable control arms instead of fixed control arms and drop brackets. For one its cheaper, two it will be a better ride allowing you to dial in axle location according to your exact lift. Three, it allows for more lift or less lift in the future if you want with out having to replace the control arms, just adjust them down or up according to size of lift. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Upper-and-Lower-Adjustable-Front-Control-Arms-Jeep-Cherokee-XJ-Wrangler-TJ-ZJ-/151679591326?fits=Year%3A1988%7CMake%3AJeep%7CModel%3ACherokee&hash=item2350cee39e:g:zk0AAOSwBLlVUtBq&vxp=mtr That is a set I found on ebay and they look to be pretty solid for the money. I saw some that were a bit cheaper but didnt look as good as these....

HOrnbrod
Rear shocks:ARB 60080 Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Sport Shock https://www.amazon.c...id=ASH3J3QJ61MH Front shocks will be OME N35L Rear Shocks: One end of the OME 60080 shock is a pin mount, so these will not work for the dual eyelet mounting MJ rear shocks. OME N76 shocks with the OMESB11 bushing conversion kit is a good option for the rears. Front Shocks: Front OME N35L shocks are no longer available. The 60052L Nitrocharger Sport is it's replacement and will be fine for the fronts.

I actually meant to have the OME76 is actually what I meant to put up amazon had apparently replaced items in my cart due to running out of stock.. didn't kno they did that but they did lol. Crash
The omix drag link is probably alright. But, I would definitely go at least ZJ V8 tie rod setup. VS, stock replacement POS tie rod. I got my RK adjustable UCA's for 153 from a vendor on JeepForum. Not sure what their lowers run. But, I would definitely consider running CAD brackets at the height you want to be. WJ LCA's or aftermarket adjustables recommended. My MJ is not even that tall, and I want drop brackets. I would go long arms, but don't feel like chopping up my MJ quite yet. The tallest my XJ ever was I had some RC 4.5 coils with short arms, and it rode like crap. Mid-arms are one of the best upgrades that happened to my XJ. I am most likely going to order and run the RRO MJ CAD brackets. IF you consider this, maybe get a set of their lowers, and either Uppers or the RK uppers. I briefly considered buying those Core4x4 arms, but their "pricing tiers" and crap and lack of reviews kept me away.
