Do you guys know anything about these? Its a long bed stepside with a 292 Y block with a 4 speed manual and divorced transfer case. Its not drivable but seems to be complete. I've found out that Ford started in house production of these 4x4's in 1959. Beyond that I don't know much. This would not be an MJ parts donor. Its too rare and valuable for that. Just looking for some opinions and experiences.

The 292 Y block is an early Ford v8. I pretty sure I'm getting it. I'm actually trading my bike for it. I haven't ridden in 6 years so its just been sitting. If the truck is solid it should be a decent trade. I'll see it in person next week. The guy originally wanted me to trade my Comanche but that ain't happening. Anybody know any good old ford truck forums?

I got the beast home. Its in a little worse condition than I imagined before seeing it. Nothing that can't be fixed with my Hobart and some scrap metal. It has bias ply tires on 16x4 rims, 9 inch rear end and what appears to be some sort of closed knuckle Dana in the front. The chassis is solid though but the brake lines all need to be re done. One of them got busted strapping it down to the trailer and leaked brake fluid all over. I'll try to load a couple pics pretty soon.
