Siopposition
OK. I have a list of things I'm going to check tomorrow. But your input would.be good to have going in. Truck won't.start.....will bite with starter fluid so.I know its not spark. Don't hear the fuel pump turning on. Is the fuel pump in the tank? Where is the fuel relay/fuse? Thanks for any help
Siopposition
What are these fuses? And what are the two yellow plugs with caps just behind the large square fuses? These are on the passenger side behind the battery.
Siopposition
Anybody have a fuse listing for this panel under the dash drivers side? As well does anyone know what the blue box fuse is in the top left. Its hanging right near the e-brake pedal.
Pete M
make sure that grounding point behind the drivers side taillight is making a good clean connection.
Siopposition
Good to know. Is that the ground for the pump?
Pete M
it was in my truck. I was splicing in new connectors for a custom tow-harness so I could make use of the truck's taillights while flat-towing it. soon as I configured the wiring for towing, the truck wouldn't start to drive over to the tow vehicle. I ended up just grounding the pump directly to the frame right in front of the tank so as to avoid the while issue. plus that ground point is a common problem area so cleaning it up is a good thing to do anyway. read through this thread: http://comancheclub.com/topic/36382-cruisers-renix-tips/
Siopposition
Awesome. That's a good link. Any idea what the plugs and fuses in my pictures are?
87MJTIM
The yellow plugs in the engine bay are for engine diagnostic connection. These are for pre-OBD scanners. Snap-On makes (made?) a scanner, MT2500, you can find on Ebay. The blue relay under the dash (I believe) is the horn relay. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. cruiser54
No fuses under the dash. Do the ground refresh behind the driver's taillamp. Image Not Found
Megadan
If that resistor block on the drivers side of the engine bay is still in place, bypass it and see if that makes a difference too (after doing the ground refresh).

Great idea. Sometimes just doing Tip 3 can help also. Ever see those relays when they've been removed after 25 years? The connectors are nasty. Siopposition
OK so I ran a wire from battery to relay, the whole buss clicks, but still no fuel pump activation....refresh on the ground is done... Replace the fuel pump next? This truck has been sitting for a while....
Megadan
You could always try to jump the pump directly from a battery and see if you hear it. If you get no noise after doing that, then it would be a good indicator. Probably wouldn't hurt to drop the tank and clean it out if it has been sitting for a while either. Siopposition
Yea I know it only runs for a second after the key is turned. Just hard to do it. I will prolly take a little ATV battery I have and just unplug it and run jumper wires to see.

Siopposition
Got her running!!! Pulled fuel pump after not hearing anything from jumping it....nasty screen and all rubber was coming apart....unfortunately the pump I bought doesn't work. Anyone know what part number and where I can go to get one that fits a 90? To get it running I beat the bejesus out of the old pump, got it spinning, rewired it because all the connectors were breaking. Built a new screen for the bottom and put it back in. Replaced the fuel filter which I could barely blow thru....and with a couple primes of the key and one no start, it fired right up!!!. Missing on one cylinder and leaking some.fuel from the number 2 injector, new wires, plugs, cap, rotor, coil, spark plugs and upgraded injectors ordered.
