ftpiercecracker1 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 My ax-15 is in dire need of a fluid change, but it needs to be flushed before I dump in the good stuff (red line, red max?) What is the cheapest crap that I can dump in there to flush out all the junk? Why do I think it needs to be flushed you ask? Current fluid looks like nasty chocolate milk and smells utterly putrid. Thanks fellas.
Jeep Driver Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 10W-30 Walmart motor oil. For a flush........haha........ That's what mine lives on.
AeroNautical Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 It's actually a very good motor oil - just cheap. Absolutely, I put full syn 10w-30 Walmart brand with a Pure One oil filter for under $30 everytime. There are so many rules and regs on motor oil anyway, how can anyone get it wrong?
ftpiercecracker1 Posted May 25, 2015 Author Posted May 25, 2015 Awesome thanks for all the input guys.
88mjblue Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 What about adding some ATF when you flush for some real detergent cleaning, anybody do that?
