Vvcriticalvv
I currently have a 3 in lift (whole new spring pack) and I want to go 4.5 in so I can run 33s. What's the best/easiest way to get the extra 1.5 in without buying a whole pack
ggcnash
Chevy drop shackles and spacers for front that's the easiest
HOrnbrod
When you get it to 4-1/2" you will then most likely need adjustable LCAs to correct your caster and an adjustable track bar to re-center the front axle. The pinion angle might need correction with wedges too.
Vvcriticalvv
I have a control arm drop on the way and already have the adjustable track bar my main concern now is the rear and shocks

shelbyluvv
I hope you plan on cutting to clear those 33's and re-gearing the axles to pull them
Tommy
I'm running 33s on about 4 inches lift, stock 3.55s. Gearing is fine. 4.10s or 4.56s might be better but I never have trouble. Did have to cut the fenders. I'm still on stock control arms. Have drop brackets I haven't installed yet. No death wobble or any other problems. 4.5 backspacing wheels, rubs lcas at full lock. shelbyluvv
You may think it's fine but it's not. Â Drive a properly built rig on the highway and you will instantly feel the difference. Â You are also causing your transmission to generate more heat which is what kills them. Â I'm from the mind set if you are going to lift it, do it right the first time. HOrnbrod
Nope. It isn't fine at all. Can't be.............
Tommy
Eh, I can cruise at 65 for the 45 minutes it takes me to get to my dad's just fine. I can merge into the highway without trucks. I've got the trans run through an auxiliary cooler in front of the radiator, but that's it. Works for me. When I'm ready to upgrade my axles I'll go for 4.10 or better but it runs just fine as is. Vvcriticalvv
Mine worked great with 3.55s and 31s but I regeared to 4.10s to match the 8.8 I put in and I only rub a very little bit right now. I had to cut 1 small section of flare under the truck and as long as I stay off the highway and can park anywhere without rub
