I was not really concerned about using until I got my comanche a couple months back. But now I have a reason to buy some air tools. What do you folks think about husky's air tools? I have been using their hand tools at work and they seem legit. Home Depot sells a few different levels of them. The specs on my compressor should run them all. I am not a shop nor a professional. So I do not have to worry about over taxing the tank or the tools day in and day out. But it would be nice to have something to help out. I do not need nor want super high gear. If you are going to get an impact, I would suggest getting an Ingersoll Rand 231c (even if it's a used one of eBay). Jeep Driver Posted March 25, 2015 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Some things I will buy used and some I will not. Could not live without impacts and air ratchets.......no way. If you are patient, find a good deal on used IR or Craftsman or save your money and buy new IR. You can get an IR 1/2 impact for about $160 and it will outlast you. But recently I have had better luck with their hand tools than my craftsman. I am looking for opinions on a specific brand. I have found some IR impact tools on tooltopia.com for a decent price. That will factor into the ultimate decision. I would top end tools. But I have no garage or climate controlled storage. So I also must consider how much abuse the tools will take when they are stored. It seems a waste to buy nice equipment if it is to be abused when stored. wvzj Posted April 2, 2015 Share Posted April 2, 2015 Spend your money once and buy an IR. My first gun was a Campbell hausfeld, it lasted about 2yrs before it started to take a crap.
