comanchebuilder21
So just put a ax15 back in to my mj 2 weeks ago everything got torqued properly an all was fine till today. Started it drove for like 2 miles then when I'd press the clutch it'd make a terrible grinding screeching sound. So I get under it every bolt holding Trans to block was 1/4 OF THE WAY UNDONE. Any ideas wtf is going on. I tightened it back up an it's good now. This confuses me

Comangi
Maybe you should have used loc-tite? Not sure if those particular bolts require it or not. I assume the vibration of use made them back out. What about torque specs? were they torqued properly?
xjrev10
They have blue loc tight from the factory. I used never seize on mine.
comanchebuilder21
Yes they were torqued properly that's what's confusing me
shelbyluvv
It probably wasn't seated right and when you hit a bump it settled into it's spot leaving the bolts loose. Or you need a new torque wrench.
Eagle
Do you have the locating dowels in place? If not, the bell housing might be able to shift enough to start loosening the bolts.
