redwolf624 Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 so in every pack of lights i've found there's a wire with a really wide female connector that the bullet connector from each light plugs into, anyone know the name of it, i can't seem to find one anywhere. ive checked every auto part store, radio shack, walmart, lowes, home depot, taylors do it center and a local wire store but no luck, Redwolf
gogmorgo Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Cut it off and put on a better one? I like spade connectors... Or just a solid splice.
Strokermjcomanche Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Solder it , heat shrink it and be done . Those connectors are garbage . Or put a weatherpack connector in it's place .

gogmorgo Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 this is a pic of the one i have Redwolf Yup, garbage. Find something better or splice it directly. The ball and socket connectors tend to jiggle themselves out sometimes, and are nasty corrosion traps. Frankly, spade connectors aren't all that much better, but they don't fall apart quite as often, and there's more contact surface so corrosion isn't quite the same issue. As was stated, the Weatherpack connectors are nice. So are Deutsch connectors.
