88mjblue Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Passenger side, picture is looking through grill, this is near the vacuum canister. pink wire not plugged in to anything. Factory fog light harness? I tried tracing it back, it goes near back of headlight plug and links up with loom near battery.

Strokermjcomanche Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 You can add another horn if you like . There are different tone horns that you can use if you are not happy with your current setup.
FrankTheDog Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I added the horn to mine, it also only came with one. Most XJ's came with two, they are 400Mhz and 500Mhz. It sounds pretty cool when you use two 400Mhz horns.

Minuit Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 If it's a factory piece, it should have "Low" or "Low Tone" somewhere on the horn itself. I grabbed a pair of horns from an '01 XJ last time I was in the junkyard. Sounded a lot better than the Autozone special that knocked itself out of tune. 96- XJ horns have Signal-Tone molded into the plastic, and 97-01 horns are made by Bosch.

I'm not sure as to wether or not some came with one or two horns from the factory . Some did. My 92 XJ only has one and my 90 only had one, but both my 88 and 89s had two and my MJ has two. It's a single wire because the bracket acts as the ground. I wasn't aware there were two different tones though.
