Jacob Ochs
So about 2 months my clutch master cylinder was leaking all over my fuse box. I replaced that right after I figured out the problem. Then I would get in my MJ and push the clutch in first thing in the morning and it would be soft and the fluid was all gone. So then I found some linkage that was leaking in the clutch line and I repaired that. This stopped the leak for a good while. Well this morning I go in my shed and there's fluid all over the floor right under the passenger side of the transmission. What do you know it's my clutch fluid :(. So I looked up and I dot know what this part is called but whatever the master cylinder connects to that enters the transmission was leaking. So do I have to replace this unknown part to me or is it just a gasket? If so can someone link me to a part from any auto parts store? I would post pictures but lately I haven't had any luck with that! It says my phones to old. Thanks for any help :).
onlyinajeep726
What transmission do you have and is it external or internal slave? You'll probably better off replacing the whole clutch system. They sell a good one on RockAuto.

yxmj
If it is external you would have something like this My guess is your is internal
Jeep Driver
What you need is an external SLAVE, that is what you will ask for. 86 is different than what is posted above but the same principle. Any auto parts store will be able to order it for you.
Jeep Driver
https://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&channel=fs&q=1986+jeep+external+slave&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8#q=1986+jeep+external+clutch+slave&channel=fs&tbm=shop Just a suggestion- remove your line and take it to NAPA or a hydraulic shop and have them make you a new stainless braided line......might cost you $40 or so but that will be the next thing to go. Also, there should be a bleed screw on your slave, you need to bleed it after you replace it.

And I'm going to do that the clutch is defiantly something ide like to future proof. I found the Bleeder valve hard to get to though.
