94 XJ Buckets/MJ Brackets ?

What does it take to make 94 XJ buckets mount on Comanche bucket seat brackets? Thanks

Fab skills. 1994 was the seat change year. 1993 and below seats will bolt directly to the MJ brackets, 1994 and will not. But you probably already knew that. Maybe someone has done it and will chime in.

95 was the change over year to the new style brackets with the floor and side reinforcements.

Same year they put the drivers side airbag in.

I have 92 and 94 XJ's, the seats and brackets are identical.

I think I've had every year of the XJ except 84,85 and 01.

Unbolt XJ mounts from seat.  Bolt on MJ mounts to seat.  94 and prior.  95 and later are different and a bit more complex to adapt.  I am doing that now.

Yep, my mistake. I was off by a year.

Should be able just to switch the brackets. Unfortunately, I swapped out my bench for buckets, and my brackets were rusted through and not structural at all. I should have kept them, but I didn't. Hindsight is 20/20...

I am going from MJ bench to XJ buckets.Got a sweet deal on a nice set  set of 94 XJ buckets in perfect shape  and found a set of MJ brackets on C.C.

Fwiw if you can adapt 95+ brackets to work ZJ and WJ seats will bolt directly to the base. They're a direct bolt in swap in 95+ XJs.
