the battery went dead and now cd player won't work

the battery went dead in my mj and now the kenwood cd player isnt working anymore. i tried putting in another cd player and still won't work. there is no harness so i can't just plug that in. it is all straight wired. thats how i got it. i am getting plenty of current from the pink wire. but i don't know much else to do

has the radio ever lost power before?  my kenwood had a "secret" spot I had to push any time it lost all power.  sort of a lame an anti-theft measure I guess.

check the fuse in the back of the unit. mine popped when my battery died

Some of the radios I have delt with have 2 hot wires pink and red if I remember correctly if only one has power the radio will play but not the CD player.

it turns out there was two hot wires for some reason. i switched the wires and it started working again
