Hi, new member here..., I have been checking out the Comanche Club site for some time and have been very impressed with the amount of information everyone has been providing on these great trucks, so I decided to join.

I own two, one is a 1988 Commanche Eliminator, 4.0L, 2WD, Auto (they do exist) and the other is a 1989 Comanche Pioneer, 4.0L, 2WD, manual

I have owned the Eliminator for several years and could not think of ever selling it, so I will be starting to restore it in the next few weeks, using the Pioneer as a donor (bed on this is rust free) unbelievable since the frame is totally rotted. Frame on Eliminator is like new (had been protected), only problem is the normal rust areas, rockers, bed, etc, Interior is in excellent shape. I will eventually change to 4WD, if I can find a donor at a good price. :Canadaflag:

Unfortunately, cheap Cherokees are that plentiful around here. People tend to keep them til the very end..or want a ridiculus price for a "Junk" vehicle..

its a canadian thing, man.

Ontario, cheap rotted Chero's go for 800-1000$

I picked up my MJ for $500. no brakes or floor.

It's all about finding a deal...

I picked up my DD XJ (89, 4-oh, AW4, decent shape, only 3 or 4 little rust spots and the typical clear peeling) for the paltry sum of $2400 tax in. That was off a dealer who my mother knows personally, and he gave it to me at cost + 100 (and tax). I'd consider it a good deal for what it was (comparable to ever other one I looked at, if not better).

Buddy was himming and hawwing about getting an XJ for his wife. 3 weeks later, he's got an 88, 4.0, AW4, leather interior, no rust, peeling, for $250.

Deals exist, you just gotta know enough people.
