I was curious if anyone had removed leafs from their spring pack after SOA conversion to lower ride height. Removing the overload spring looks like an easy way to loose an half inch. Other leafs are strapped in and not as easy to remove, so I'm hesitant to try those.

I'm wanting to loose up to 2". 53a768f64560f81a900f4aa77c1b688d.jpg

in my opinion that half-inch isn't worth the loss of spring-wrap prevention.

I was thinking of adding an anti wrap bar if I pulled it out.

I don't have much free time and this is my daily driver. So I was hoping for a clear answer that would minimize my down time and cost. I guess I will buy a set of stock xj leafs and play around with them.

i got leaf packs from a 3/4 ton chevy suburban and took every other leaf out of the packs. wound up with about 5" of lift. (but still used the MJ mains).

yeah, to drop 2" you'll need to use different leafs.  keep your mains and it'll all line up.   also be sure that each leaf is properly supported.  you can seriously bend the leafs if they hang out to far from the one below (especially the main).

Remember that the center pins for the MJ springs are 3/8" and the XJ are 5/16". Be sure you have a few sharp 3/8" drill bits handy, and a powerful drill.
