thejim42 Posted August 25, 2014 Posted August 25, 2014 Well after fighting trying to get the clutch to work the trans is now stuck in reverse. It has red interior with bucket seats and center console, chrome grille and bumpers. 10 spoke turbine style rims that are in good shape minus the yellowing clear coat. 107xxx and the motor runs fantastic. Body is solid, a few scratches and dings here and there and the clear coat is pealing but otherwise in good shape. Leaving for basic training in a couple months and don't want to leave this thing in my parents driveway. PM me for my contact info

neohic Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 I totally hate living in the rusty state that I do especially when people threaten to part out trucks like this. :( Good luck with the sale... hope you sell it whole.
thejim42 Posted August 27, 2014 Author Posted August 27, 2014 I really do hate to part it out but I have to get out of it what I have into it.
redwolf624 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 shot in the dark but out of curiousity, how much would it be for the trans and shipped to virgina beach? and why is it stuck in reverse? Redwolf
thejim42 Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 Not sure why its stuck in reverse. Went to test the clutch and when I pulled it out of reverse to start it it lurched back and won't go into any other gear. Would you $150 plus shiping? No t-case and no bell housing

No t-case and no bell housing is it hard to put into the gears and the bellhousin won't be a problem as long as my bellhousin lines up on it, i have the 2wd AX5, also would id be able to drive around with that trans installed with no tcase? Redwolf
thejim42 Posted August 28, 2014 Author Posted August 28, 2014 It wasn't hard to put into the gears before but now when I have the gear shift in what appears to be neutral it is still in reverse. And no without the t-case you can't drive it.
thejim42 Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 Not selling the truck whole. It looks like there is damage to the unibody. And the electronical harnesses looks like a ratsnest. Someone didn't know what they were doing and its too far gone and hacked up
redwolf624 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 how does that rear bumper look, not that i can afford anything till next payday but i can look and price :) Redwolf
thejim42 Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Rear bumper is all twisted. Looked like he tried pulling something on the bumper ball that was too heavy
thejim42 Posted September 2, 2014 Author Posted September 2, 2014 chrome grille and bumper is sold. just took a video of the motor running that i can email. (not sure how to posta video since all my pictures are posted through facebook. $500 obo
thejim42 Posted September 3, 2014 Author Posted September 3, 2014 3 pane Slider but the middle pane has bee replaced with Plexiglas
thejim42 Posted September 4, 2014 Author Posted September 4, 2014 interior has been stripped from the truck except the dash. vinyl bucket seats, center console, driver seat is kinda rough but passenger seat is in good shape. headliner is solid but could probably use new felt. door panels are in good shape.
thejim42 Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 ill be heading up to Northwest Indiana on Monday so if anyone along I65 wants parts let me know and ill see what i can do about throwing them in the truck with me.
thejim42 Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Well what I thought was frame repair on the truck now look like to be brackets for the hooks that were on the front so the chassis is good. And I've decided not to keep the axles so if anyone is interested in just the rolling chassis then shoot me an offer

teamsmith Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 since it's a lwb, does this mean it has a D44? How much for it plus the driveshaft?
thejim42 Posted September 15, 2014 Author Posted September 15, 2014 I think its only a d35 but I'm pretty sure it has 4.10s. Make me an offer
dunnc1991 Posted September 16, 2014 Posted September 16, 2014 since it's a lwb, does this mean it has a D44? How much for it plus the driveshaft? All '86 were lwb. Also they were not offered with a D44 rear. If it doesn't have 35 then it would be an AMC20, but not that likely. Op if the rear diff cover looks like a circle than its the AMC rear
